As always we commenced the project with detailed visuals of the room.
Including details such as recovering the existing pool table to match the new design look and feel.
Working with colour palettes selected with the client we developed a scheme which suited the family and their needs.
Existing Room:
As the room had sloping ceilings on three sides it was decided that we would build a screen wall to accomodate a large 3.5m screen.
With automated black out blinds on the remaining three dormer windows we could control the light levels within the room, which meant we could avoid uplifted costs in super high brightness projection systems.
A seated bar area was needed for people to be able to enjoy drinks while playing pool, or watching sporting events, and a large daybed for the front row so the family could cosy down for movie events.
A few changes:
A darker colour scheme was selected than that of our orignal design at the clients request.
A split coffered ceiling was implemented to house the projector and provide an easy route for running cables around the space.
The high sections of ceiling were filled with our Starscape ceiling to give that window to the night sky effect.
Our preferred speaker system of choice, AIA was used due to it's sheer performance at every price point, one of the few performance home cinema speaker systems in the market.
Day Bed & Acoustic Design:
A custom daybed was designed and manufactured to match an existing sofa that the client had in another room within the property.
Our signature acoustic wall panel system was implemented to hide speakers and deal with acoustical issues within the room, framed with LED linear lighting to create a soft lighting effect when watching a film.
FINSIHED ROOM COMPLETE:
As usual the room was calibrated by hand and handed over to the happy client:

With a completed room cost of £77,000, which included taking everything from the before image to the finished room.
